North Sedgemoor Explorer Scout Unit

The Unit was formed in September 2002, and is under the leadership of Axel Knutson. However, the general organisation associated with events, expeditions, camps, etc. is delegated to the Explorer Unit members, but overseen by the Leaders.

The Unit usually meet every Monday- sometimes at the Cheddar Scout Headquarters and sometimes at  Wedmore, Shipham or Weare Group premises.

At their meeting, unit members normally wear a black polo shirt with the Explorer logo on it, which is distinct to the Unit. However, once a month the Unit meets wearing formal uniform .

Members of the Unit pay a monthly fee to cover the costs of the Scout Association Annual Membership fee, which includes insurance, etc. This monthly fee also subsidises the cost of activities throughout the year.
